MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To assist in the running and operation of the auction centre. The position will involve taking responsibility for the efficient operation of some key account control activity and sale compilation functions, to ensure that budget objectives of the branch are met and exceeded.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist customers with the registering of vehicles.
• Data input vehicle details, as required.
• Lotting sales, appraising vehicles for sale, giving advice and valuations to customers both by phone and in person.
• Phone and chase vendors for paperwork.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of all administration required for vehicles before sale
• Ensure that the standard of customer service is maintained and continuously look for ways of improving customer service.
• Ensure vehicles are allocated correctly for marketing, lotting and catalogues.
• Ensure all customer agreements and working documents/practices are adhered to.
• To manage, develop and organise Special Sales.
• To carry out any other duties as requested by senior branch management.
BASIC REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• GCSE Level in Maths/English
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels is essential.
• Vehicle knowledge would be an advantage.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/SKILLS
• Ability to cope under pressure
• Good keyboard skills and computer-literacy
