Job Description

Photography & Media Stores Technician

Salary in the range £22,236- 26,523 per annum

Winchester School of Art

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a full-time Technician across the School’s programmes of study. You will provide technical demonstration in all aspects of still and video photography, digital media, software and equipment within the studios and workshops under the direction of academic staff. You will need to have experience of Mac OS operating system and relevant knowledge of photography in the art and design context.

You will also be responsible for the stock control, maintenance and loan of the School’s media equipment through its dedicated media store, including the administrative tasks associated with such activities.

You will set up equipment and working spaces, provide induction on specialist equipment, ensure students work in a safe environment and control stock and equipment. You will need to be a good communicator, well organised, have a health and safety mindset and be prepared to work flexible hours at exhibition times.
