An opportunity has arisen to join this global company within their credit control department.

Duties will include:

• Executes and maintains ethical and effective collection procedures
• Evaluates and recommends credit terms (payment terms, freight allowed and cash discounts allowed) for existing and new customers using predefined credit information services and standard analytical practices
• Performs collections for own portfolio of customers or as directed
• Maintains accurate credit files and collection notes
• Provides timely credit risk and exposure order management input
• Assesses credit risk for existing customers and analyses financial information
• Develops, submits, agrees and achieves monthly collection forecasts
• Submits month-end metric reports
• Participates in customer field visits as required
• Participates in cross-functional company-wide business process improvement team

Skills Required:

• Proven international collection experience
• ICM Qualified (or local equivalent) preferred
• Knowledge of Dunn & Bradstreet Reporting
• Basic knowledge of general accounting, plus EU and VAT regulations
• Financial Statement Analysis including cash flow statements and ratios
• Ability to take decisive actions with the use of existing policies and procedures as well as in areas where no prescribed procedure exists without seeking their immediate supervisor’s approval
• Willingness to develop and progress to Team Leader level
